CEG   ON-DEMAND WEBINAR

A Day in the Life of a Project Manager Transitioning to Agile Scrum Master

Bonnie Cooper, PMP
Trainer and Consultant for Corporate Education Group

Course ID: MDW1419 / Duration: 1 Hour / Credits: 1 PDU

About the Webinar

The PMBOK® Guide defines the project manager as the person who leads the team. PMI’s Agile Practice Guide highlights the fact that when working on an agile project, the project manager shifts from being at the center of the team to serving the team, with an emphasis on coaching, collaboration, and distribution of responsibility. Project managers whose organizations are adopting agile practices are often serving in the capacity of the Scrum Master role. Join me in this webinar to learn more about being a Scrum Master from the project management perspective and by living in one’s shoes for a day.

Learning points:

  • Living the Scrum framework (stand-ups, planning, reviews, retrospectives)
  • Using the tools (Jira Scrum board, visual boards, social channels, virtual meetings, your brain)
  • Serving the team (strategies to develop team cohesion and velocity, norms, responsibilities, removing roadblocks and integrating with other agile teams, practicing servant leadership)
  • Growing and learning through a Community of Practice
