About the Webinar

The thoughts we think impact our experience of the world. The word “mindset” refers to the collection of attitudes and beliefs that shape our thought habits. A simple example of a mindset is believing that you are “intelligent” or “not intelligent;” or judging yourself to be a “good manager” or a “bad manager.” Human beings are a complex mix of many different mindsets, and some of these operate at an unconscious level. But regardless of whether or not we are aware of our mindsets, they can have a profound effect on how we learn, how we respond to challenges or setbacks, and what we do when working toward a goal.

In this webinar, we will examine the difference between fixed and growth mindsets, exploring triggers and prompts that can precede a shift from one to the other. We’ll also look at the connection between growth mindset and resilience, tying this into the neuroscience of learning.

Topics we’ll cover include:

  • Mindset matters
  • Growth mindset and resilience
  • Fixed mindset triggers
  • The importance of deliberate practice
