- Recognizing potential bias in your organization is the easy part. We can see the issues, but how do we begin breaking down barriers and creating inclusion? When it comes to confronting racism and bias, many of us have no idea how to start the conversation.
- That is when doubt, hesitation, and even fear can creep in. What if sharing your concern only makes matters worse? What if someone feels they are being falsely labeled or unjustly "accused"? These potential scenarios can be frightening for many reasons.
- As an organization, you can decide to do nothing and hope for the best, or you can equip your people with the skills to engage in these critical conversations and mitigate their own biases. In this session, we'll explore ways to create the conditions for successfully addressing bias in a way that promotes dialog and discovery.

About the Presenter
Robert Protho, senior trainer and consultant with Corporate Education Group (CEG), is a dynamic talent management and organizational development leader with global experience in leadership development and coaching. He has a passion for building and fostering an inclusive environment and enjoys contributing to work that makes people feel valued and empowered. In his diversity and inclusion work, he has provided strategic consultation to ensure diversity and inclusion initiatives were developed, designed, and implemented to meet the organization and cultural needs of a global workforce.
Robert has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix and holds numerous certifications, including: iPEC Executive Coaching Program (ICF Affiliated), Unconscious Bias Facilitator Certification, Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion, and Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner.
